Third Estate
Third Estate- In 1789 at the time of outbreak of the French Revolution, the French society was divided into the privileged and the unprivileged classes. The unprivileged classes were known as the third Estate. The Third Estate was compromised of the peasants artisans, city workers and the middle class people ( or the bourgeoisie) like teachers, doctors, lawyers, writers, civil servants etc. All such people had no political rights.It where these people who fought against the privileged classes in the French Revolution.
